Prepare your work
1. Go through all the information you received and make yourself acquainted with the contents. It might be a good idea to read through the texts and the agreement a few times.
2. Write down why you want to be an affiliate and what your goals are.
3. Write down how large you want your business to become and how much you want to earn every month.
4. Ask yourself if you are prepared to pay the prize of attaining your goals.
To work as an affiliate – structuralize your work
To work as an affiliate and find new customers to the poker network takes a focused attitude. Hard work means a high return. Be as productive as possible: don’t make things more complex than they are – keep it simple. That way you’ll be more effective and more productive. Here are a few pointers on how you can impose a structure to your work:
1. Regularly set aside some time every week for your business.
2. Write down how many people you should phone or e-mail, if you are to be active on some forums each day etc. This will help you attain your goals.
3. Make a to-do list that you keep updated and follow every day. Set aside about 15 minutes for this every day, preferably every morning before you start to work.
Finding customers
In the book How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie you will find pointers on how to work. You will find the book at this link. A good start is to make a list of names for your contacts. You should be able to write down about 100 names. You might say: 100 names – no way I know that many people! By checking the following however, most people usually find about 100 names:
· Workplace
· Friends
· Family
· Societies
· School
· MSN / Skype / Icq / Aol
· Poker communities / Lunarstorm / Dating sites
Trying to find these 100 names has many advantages:
1. You will find that you know more people than you thought. A positive experience for most.
2. You will find a potential for making business.
3. You will not be devastated if the first person on the list says no – you still have 99 more to go.
Besides the 100 names-list there are many ways to establish connections. You can hand out flyers in your neighborhood, ask at coffee shops and restaurants if you can leave ads there etc.
